Emi Yoshikawa, CFA

Emi Yoshikawa, CFA

CEO & Managing Partner

Emi Yoshikawa brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of technology and finance, spanning Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and Japan.

Before founding Across Ventures in San Francisco, Emi served as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Ripple, a leading blockchain technology company, where she led corporate strategy, business operations, international expansion, and strategic partnerships. She played a key role in launching Ripple's ecosystem fund to advance blockchain adoption globally.

In parallel, Emi co-founded the Blockchain Research Center at Kyoto University as an adjunct professor, fostering industry–academia collaboration in blockchain research. She has also served on several corporate and non-profit boards, including SBI Remit, SBI Ripple Asia, MoneyTap, and the Japan Society of Northern California.

Earlier in her career, Emi led the development of investment analytics solutions at MSCI, supporting hundreds of institutional investors worldwide.

Emi holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a CFA charterholder. She was named one of the "Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business" by the San Francisco Business Times in 2021. As an official columnist for Forbes Japan, she writes regularly about innovation in Silicon Valley and the evolving U.S.–Japan partnership.
